October 30 Question from QueenPadme_20051 QueenPadme_29951from http://spaces.msn.com/memebers/QueenPadme2005 asks:
"Hey I just wanted to say I love this idea for a space. I never know what's on TV...so I wind up missing a lot of stuff. But other than Will and Grace and Possibly ER if I stay wake (i got to get up early for work tomorrow...) is there anything else on Thursday Nights to Watch? I lost interest in the Apprentace after season 2, and don't care for Joey. I don't know what's on any of the other channels either, since I mainly watch NBC. I only have local channels: Fox, CBS, NBC, PBS, WB, ABC, and UPN. Also I'm wondering about Friday nights. I know Hope and Faith is on ABC, but I'm not sure what time...and is the one show with the mom from the bundies still on...um 8 simple rules I think was the name of it. What about Less than perfect? Is that still on?"
Hey! Thanks for visiting! Thursday nighrs is probably the best and worst night for television. It's the best because a bunch of TV shows come on, and it's the worst because you always have to choose one show over another. There is...
Drama:
Alias (ABC) (the show that got me into Television): http://abc.go.com/primetime/alias/index.html
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation(CBS): http://www.cbs.com/primetime/csi/
Night Stalker(ABC): http://abc.go.com/primetime/nightstalker/index.html
Without a Trace(CBS): http://www.cbs.com/primetime/without_a_trace/
Teen Drama:
Smalllville(WB): http://thewb.warnerbros.com/web/show.jsp?id=SM
Everwood(WB): http://thewb.warnerbros.com/web/show.jsp?id=EW
Reality (other then Apprentice because you said you didn't like it anymore):
Survivor(CBS) (the best reality show out there, in my opinon): http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor11/
Now that's Thursday nights. As you can tell, more of a dramatic night than a comedic one.
Friday nights doesn't have as much going on as the other weekdays. You have...
Comedy:
The Bernie Mac Show(FOX)- http://www.fox.com/berniemac/
Malcom in the Middle(FOX)- http://www.fox.com/malcolm/
Drama:
Killer Instinct(FOX)- http://www.fox.com/killerinstinct/
Threshold(CBS)- http://www.cbs.com/primetime/threshold/
Law & Order: Criminal Intent- http://www.nbc.com/Law_&_Order:_Criminal_Intent/
Ghost Whisperer(CBS)- http://www.cbs.com/primetime/ghost_whisperer/
NUMB3RS(CBS)- http://www.cbs.com/primetime/numb3rs/
That's about it for Friday's.
8 Simple Rules has been cancelled. And personally, without John Ritter the show just wasn't the same. And as for Less than Perfect (which I love) It's still on: http://abc.go.com/primetime/lessthanperfect/index.html
Well, I hope that answered some questions!

September 04 Question From FinalCrutchesFinalCrutches from
"Hiya! My mom had bought a new television about two months ago along with a dvd/vcr player since our old one was, well, old. However, we can't watch any of out local stations, if you know what I mean. The picture is either so fuzzy we can't see or hear anything, or it's just completely knocked out, and I'm sick of watching videos all day.lol Also, I've heard that you can watch your favorite tv shows online, but I don't know where to begin with that. Do you have any advice? If you don't, it's okay.. mostly because Mom won't really let me watch any tv with school starting and all, hee hee!"
Hey there! I recently got into the the whole "watching television on the computer" myself. But I must say, it's pretty cool. The only problem, most of the websites that give you your shows cost money. But have no fear! www.kazaa.com is one of the very few that are free, but it's still good. All you have to do is sign up (free) and then you can search for the shows you want to watch. Pretty amazing, eh?
I know you all have questions! Feel free to ask! Go to the 'Got Questions' category and I'll have an answer for you. August 16 Comment by retry4zDanretry4zDan from http://spaces.msn.com/members/retry4z/ writes:
"Hi Chloe,
I think your movie reviews are pretty accurate, so I know I can depend on that, in fact, I would give them the same ratings. That is really interesting that you're in TV, have you concidred getting into TV/Movie business, or even being a critique? I think your space is good enough a deal. Keep rating more movies" Thanks. I'm glad you agree with my thoughts. When I review movies, I review them with what I think. No one elses opinon goes into anything I make. There are a few critics who focus too much on the "publics opinon". Which to me, is bad. Because no one's reading to know what other people think. They're reading to know what I think. So yeah..
Yes, I've put in much thought in going into the TV/Movie buisness. I really love reviewing movies and TV shows. So a film/TV critic is definatly up there on my list of occupations to pursue. I also have: Director, producer, author, and screen writer. I have journals full of movie ideas and hopefully they'll each get a chance to be lived out one day. And also, one of my goals in life is to get one of my stories published.
Thank you so so much for visiting my space. I'm glad to know you like. And yes, I'll definatly keep reviewing movies.

July 18 Question From SouthernMSBelle_DMSouthernMSBelle_DM from http://spaces.msn.com/members/southernflows/ writes:
"Hi Chloe! Great site I stumbled on while looking at someone's "favorites" list. Glad I did! Two questions for you. Remember "Kingpin"? Not the movie, but the sometimes brutal and violent show with Yancy Arias, Bobby Cannavalle and Sheryl Lee? It was on NBC for a season (maybe less then a season). This was oh, a few years ago. '02, maybe? What happened? And is that the only season on DVD? I loved that show. Not sure sure why other than it showed a brutal side of human nature that we rarely see and try not to believe in.
Secondly...ever read Michael Ausiello's column on TV Guide? He has two, but I really live for "Ask Ausiello" on Wednesdays.
Like I said, great site! Keep up the great work girl!
Donna"
Hey Donna! Thank you so much for visiting my space and asking questions! Now let's get down to it shall we? The mini-series Kingpin only aired for one season a.k.a around six episodes and was known for having every episode "Parental Advisory". (Which at the time, was new for an NBC show) Plus, it was made around the time network television was trying to compete with HBO or basic cable like FX. (Which explains all the violence, cussing, and nudity). Some critics loved it and others called it a 'Sopranoes' rip off. But I actually enjoyed it.
The only DVD for the mini-series out is this.
About Michael Ausiello, I do read his stuff. He's pretty cool in my book, and I too read Ask Ausiello on Wednesdays.

You're like genius of something! I never have time to watch tv, so I never know what's good to watch. What is a good show to watch? (When I mean show, I mean ones with plots, unlike reality TV shows...eek!) lol! I wouldn't say I was a genius. :) But I do know my stuff. Now, what's a good show to watch? Well, that depends on what genre you're interested in. Comedy: Two and a Half men (www.cbs.com/primetime/two_and_a_half_men/about.shtml ) Arrested Develpoment (www.fox.com/arresteddev/) Joey(www.nbc.com/Joey/) Scrubs(www.nbc.com/scrubs/) Teen Drama: The OC (www.fox.com/oc/home.htm) One Tree Hill (www.thewb.com) <-Click on One Tree Hill Drama: Alias (http://abc.go.com/primetime/alias/index.html) Lost(http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/index.html) 24(www.fox.com/24) House(www.fox.com/house/) CSI(www.cbs.com/primetime/csi/) Well, that's about it! If you watch any of those shows you're bound to be entertained! NEXT QUESTION: Laura writes: "Do you know anything about the reality show? Are they real? Or are they a hoax?" Well, depending on which one you watch. I believe shows like Survivor and American Idol are real. Even the Appentice (But did you know that the boardroom isn't real? And that the elevator doesn't even work?) But if you watch shows like I Want to Be a Hilton or The Simple Life you're bound to see a bunch of fake moments. NEXT QUESTION: Khouloud writes: "Your space is wonderful!!! It's and original idea...I encourage you to continue your 'activity'...Well, my question is more related to you then your space: I was wondering how do you have time to watch all those TV shows, to have the latest news,...etc? I'm really amazed and surprised!!!" Well, I'm not sure how. I just make time I guess :) There was a time where TV was my world. I couldn't leave anywhere if I knew my show was coming on. I would plan around TV. And now I've gotten used to the word "recording". Last season, I missed my very first episode of 24. In four years, I'd never missed an episode. It ate me alive wondering "What's happening now? I wonder what's going on now?" But after that. I've kinda relaxed. If I miss it, I miss it. NEXT QUESTION: Reba from http://spaces.msn.com/members/rebasmark/ writes: "I missed the last episode of Britney and Kevin's Chaotic. I know- I can't believe I got sucked into that show either- but do you know if they are playing repeats of it on any channel?" I'm not sure. You're best bet would be to keep checking MTV or UPN. I never really caught up with that show. The only episode I watched was the season finale. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. FINAL QUESTION: Adeva from http://spaces.msn.com/members/AdevaDeeds/ writes: "hey...this is a great space(i wish mine was as great as urs {lol}) yeah- do you know what's goin 2 happen this week and next week on passions?? i just started watchin it a few months ago and im hooked...so do you know what's goin 2 happen? what do you think of my space?" Hey there! Your space seems very interesting. About Passions, why don't you check this out? www.nbc.com/nbc/Passions/sneak_peeks.shtml ? Hope that helps! Well, that's it for now. Keep the questions comin! June 11 Questions from HmstdLdyHmstdLdy from http://spaces.msn.com/members/eleanorscottage/ writes: "Well, Chloe, You have quite a space here...You have a great store of knowledge about TV and it's people...I'm mostly an old movie fan, but there are some series that I have liked...Impressed that you mentioned "Band of Brothers"...Didn't think anyone your age would notice it...How wrong we can be!...I hope your future holds many publishers for your novels and stories...Patricia PS I love your name...You parents made a good choice for you" Wow! That just has to be the sweetest comment ever! Thank you so much. About my name, when my mom was younger she was in a French class and the teacher asigned students French names, she was given Chloe. She put an interest in that name. I read through your blog a while back and I really like it, it has the most relaxing photos! Thanks for visiting! "Here goes...Do you know anything about the old British series "All Creatures Great and Small"? Is it on TV anywhere? Loved that show but didn't see all the episodes. Patiricia" 'All Creatures Great and Small" began in 1978 and ended in 1990 after its very successfull run with seven seasons. I checked and I didn't see any record of it airing repeats on a specific channel, but the good news is, the DVD's of the seven seasons are out for you to buy (or possibly at your nearest Blockbuster you can rent them) Here's the link for the first season at amazon, if you do a search, it will show you all seven seasons: www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000062XDW/ref=pd_sxp_elt_l1/104-9960805-2417521 June 07 Question from Hot_Wind_In_My_HairHot_Wind_In_My_Hair from http://spaces.msn.com/members/gentlebreezeunitedstates/ writes: "I haven't had a chance to see Runaway Jury but I really like your article on names of T.V. Hey, I'm curious if you are watching Dancing With the Stars and what you think of it. Come Visit." Well, thanks on the comment about the article! And yes, when it premiered, I watched Dancing with the Stars. But unfortunatly I didn't like it at all. In my opinion, it was really bad. On shows like American Idol or The Apprentice, the creators make the shows interest level really high to where the audience really cares to what happens to the people. In Dancing with the Stars, the "care" factor is not there. You need care factors in shows, especially reality shows. Also, in a show like that you need what people call "T.V personalities", like on American Idol, Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell are the T.V personalities. And out of the judges and host on DWS, a personality doesn't show itself. The show is just missing a bunch of factors that makes a show a show. But I read a bit through your blog and noticed that you also like to watch The 4400. I do in fact, like that show. April 29 Question from HappiestJoMiCaLeHappiestJoMiCaLe from http://spaces.msn.com/members/awareofmyself/ writes: "You impress me. I should ask you to write/edit my book someday. Although I'm not a TV fan, I like Sienfeld, Friends, and Simpsons. I have a hard time just to find when an adventure in sci-fi would play. Are you aware if 'The Da Vinci Code' is in project for tv/movie? This adventure would hit better than Indiane Jones." Well, thank you so much. It's always nice to see someone say that I impress them. About 'The Da Vinci Code', yes they are in pre-production for a movie scheduled to come out some time in 2006. It will be directed by the wonderful Ron Howard, and will star Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon. go to www.imdb.com/title/tt0382625/ to get more details. |
